Our Pastor
Joel McCauley Jr. is a native of Durham, NC. Joel is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel McCauley Sr. He is married to Dr. Lolita Forrest from Cleveland, Ohio, and they have one daughter named Lauryn. Joel holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from North Carolina Central University and a Master of Divinity (MDIV) from Morehouse College School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC). While in Atlanta, he heard God’s voice speaking to him. As a result he enrolled in ITC where he served in various leadership positions and on several committees. He was an active member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, serving in several ministries, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnock. He later joined Greenforest Community Baptist Church, in Decatur, Georgia. At Greenforest, Joel served as an associate minister and participated in various church ministries under Rev. Dennis Mitchell. He also matriculated through a ministerial training program, which was previously championed by Dr. George McCalep. In addition to working in church ministries, Joel was also Chaplain for Rockdale Healthcare Center in Conyers, Georgia. Professionally, Joel has served as a college professor and e-learning educational consultant, and worked in healthcare and executive recruiting. Joel has provided seminars and delivered the word as a guest minister throughout the Southeast. He is a powerful teacher and bold about his love for God. Rev. Joel held the first official worship service at Endeavor Church on March 26, 2023. He is a powerful theologian and visionary. He employs the following: Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. As a visionary, his primary goal is to develop a Christ-centered ministry with the following principles 1) evoke others to not be idle worshipers but to become doers of the word through inclusion and service, 2) become a beacon of hope and encouragement, and 3) follow the path that God has directed. For all power belongs to God, so where God leads me I am willing to go.
